Youth has never looked so good! She is a teenage Lesbian, he is a wanna be Thug with a sister that is a Virgin looking for someone to claim her body as their own. These are all teenagers characters acting out modern societies new age personalities. In my opinion, this is the era of the Chameleons that boldly professes, “This is who I am, deal with it!”. The sweet scent of youth, coupled with the stench of irresponsibility and the excitement of being a rebel is all spawn together in the hit stage play, “Break Out! The Emotional Scars That No One Sees…”
He is 19 years young, has the voice of a Preacher Man, the wisdom of MLK the talent of Tyler Perry and the vision of the future. He is a Gates of The Millennium 10 year scholar, a Morehouse rising Sophomore, nowhere near an only child and has the comedic nature of Chris Tucker. All these talent and he is in a race for time. Death is not at his doorstep, so it is clear that this young man is answering a call from his creator and is responding to the ails of his youthful friends and companions through theatre, as an Actor, Director and Playwright.
After meeting the mother that groomed him and expressing my pride in the young destined Thelron, she added that this play was his 6th stage play and that I should seek the five other live DVD recordings. I quickly understood that this young talent may be new to me but he is clearly a Macon, GA legend. How else would you pack the house full of the historic theater leaving standing room only in a two-story venue.
I walked away with four DVD’s and one lucky Blog Reader will be receiving one.
